A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to follow a schedule for cleaning and restocking products in the bathrooms and cafeteria. Clean and sanitize the restrooms in their entirety. Empty all trash cans and dispose of them in appropriate locations. Mop the floors in all bathrooms and the cafeteria. Order bathroom and cleaning supplies. Comply with the Company's policies and procedures, departmental safety, quality and operational procedures and report any deviations from the same. Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment. Spot cleaning- depending on spills or other debris that falls or needs to be cleaned with-in the designated work areas. Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull weights up to 50 lbs occasionally. Tasks may vary in intensity, requiring occasional to frequent work pace. Physical demands include bending, reaching, lifting, and walking. Use of cleaning equipment and supplies may require prolonged standing and repetitive movements.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment. Ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly environment. Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently. Understanding of safety protocols and practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High school diploma or GED. Proficiency in the English language. Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work.
