A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Part-Time Home + Business Cleaner 8-20 hours/week | Flexible Weekday Schedule We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to help keep both our family home and our orchard/bakery business clean, organized, and running smoothly. This could be a great fit for a stay-at-home mom looking to earn some additional income during the school day, someone wanting a second source of income, or simply someone who enjoys cleaning and wants flexible part-time work. The Schedule This position is 8-20 hours per week, Monday-Saturday , with a lot of flexibility. You choose the days and hours that work best for your schedule, with a minimum 4-hour shift each time you work. Want to work two school days from 8:30-12:30? Great. Prefer two or three longer days? That works too. We care much more about finding the right person than creating a rigid schedule. You set the schedule to work, we set the schedule of what needs to be focused on to clean. What You'll Do You'll split your time between our family home and our orchard/bakery business. Tasks will vary by week but may include: General cleaning and tidying Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping Cleaning bathrooms Wiping down surfaces Kitchen cleaning Dusting Laundry and changing bedding Deep-cleaning projects Cleaning business/bakery spaces Keeping cleaning supplies stocked and organized Noticing what needs to be cleaned—and taking care of it without needing a list every time Who We're Looking For The biggest thing we're looking for is someone who naturally sees what needs to be done. You don't have to be a professional cleaner, but you should be someone who: Is self-motivated and works well independently Notices details Is dependable and trustworthy Takes pride in doing a job thoroughly Likes things clean and organized Doesn't need someone constantly telling them what to do next Is comfortable working in both a family home and a small business Can be counted on to show up when scheduled This isn't a position where we're looking for someone to simply check tasks off a list. We're hoping to find someone who walks into a space, notices the fingerprints on the door, the crumbs under the table or the corner that hasn't been cleaned in a while—and takes care of it.
