Job Description

Purpose:
This is a hands-on supervisory position that provides support for the Central Kitchen Management Team. This position is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Sanitation Department and the supervision of the daily tasks of Associates to ensure the adherence of quality and safety standards of the department and company.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the adherence of all specs, policies, procedures and standards. Communicate with management when violations of company/department policies and standards are not met Read and follow production plans and meet the daily sanitation needs by monitoring the productivity of Associates and ensuring tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner Monitor and direct the daily tasks of Associates Provide feedback to Associates on performance-related issues and communicate with management when Associate performance does not meet expected standards Ensure the strict adherence of safety and safe food handling practices Train new Associates in the department and be a supportive coach for all Associates within the department Be open-minded and receptive to change. Support the goals and initiatives of management and be a team player willing to assist in any area of the bakery where needed Treat all Associates with respect, in a fair and consistent manner following the guidelines outlined in

Qualifications:
Must have 2-3 years' experience working in a structured sanitation environment performing all sanitation & supervisory duties Must be proficient in all sanitation duties and the ability to operate sanitation equipment Must be able to work independently and monitor and direct Associates within the department Must be proficient in reading SDS sheets, devising sanitation plans and have an understanding of chemical uses, buying and storage Possess the ability to lead, motivate and train Associates Must have good written and verbal communication skills Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in refrigerated/cooler/hot/warm environments Must have a ServSafe certification or the ability to attain a certification This description is representative only and is not exhaustive of the tasks an Associate in the position may be required to perform.
