What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Responsible for routine cleaning of all areas of the facility, including floors, walls, windows, and furnishings. Responsible for requisitioning supplies and equipment necessary to complete tasks in a safe, sanitary, and workmanlike manner. Maintains adequate supplies of disposable paper products to meet daily needs of the facility. Ensures that appropriate standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained to meet or exceed all applicable health regulations. Highschool diploma preferred. Background check required.
