Job Summary Join our vibrant school community as a School Custodian, where your dedication to cleanliness and maintenance will create a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment for students, staff, and visitors alike. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of school facilities through thorough cleaning, janitorial tasks, and basic maintenance duties. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure that our school remains a pristine and well-functioning space conducive to learning and growth. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the educational experience by upholding high standards of sanitation and facility care. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, 6 holiday pay, and school lunch. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM. Responsibilities Clean and maintain assigned areas, which include classrooms, hallways, restrooms, office, and specialty rooms daily. Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas daily Regularly check trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in designated areas Follow procedures for the use of approved chemical cleaners Notify a director of any concerns regarding minor or major repairs Establish and maintain effective professional communication with teachers, parents, and children Clean interior/exterior partition glass, windows, and mirrors with window cleaner Sweep sidewalks and entryways Vacuum carpets daily and wash/carpet clean as needed Dust vents/walls/window sills as needed Remove debris from light fixtures as needed Follow a monthly cleaning list Respond to and sanitize areas affected by bodily fluid incidents and other unexpected daily accidents following proper health and safety procedures
