Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Janitor to join our Early Education team. Our toddlers are messy so this role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a personal relationship with Jesus and a strong Christian faith , modeling these values across our community. This energetic and reliable individual will be highly committed to maintaining strict safety and cleanliness standards throughout our facilities. Because several of our young students are currently potty training, the position requires a resilient attitude and a strong stomach, as the candidate must be completely comfortable and un-shy about managing and cleaning up routine bathroom messes. Duties Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal especially after snacks and lunch to ensure all areas are tidy and sanitary Handle cleaning with various chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures Operate cleaning equipment such as mops and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards Assist with light custodial duties in classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning and maintenance activities Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with cleaning techniques and equipment Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures is a plus Strong attention to detail with a commitment to sanitation standards and safety protocols Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting respectfully with staff and visitors Join us at Christian Chapel Early Education department to contribute to a clean, safe learning environment where students can thrive!
