Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle and store chemical agents safely, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation protocols. Conduct routine custodial tasks including dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, window washing, and surface disinfecting to uphold high cleanliness standards. Operate cleaning machinery and tools efficiently while following safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items. Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs or notifying maintenance teams of issues requiring professional attention. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Support general facilities maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or light repairs as needed. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial or residential cleaning techniques. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and chemical sprayers. Ability to handle chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocol adherence and chemical handling safety procedures. Physical capability for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to sanitation and cleanliness standards. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
