A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Sweep, dust mop, spot mop, spray buff, shower scrub, burnish, and refinish all hard surface floors throughout the assigned area, or as assigned by the supervisor. Vacuum, spot clean, shampoo, extract carpets throughout the assigned area, or as assigned by the supervisor. Move furniture, equipment, materials, and perform other general maintenance. Service, clean, and disinfect restrooms, classrooms, offices, and clean drinking fountains. Remove trash and debris from building to dumpster. Clean entry way, partition glass, interior windows, blinds, light fixtures, and vents. Dust furniture, spot clean walls, ceilings, and doors/frames, as needed. Maintain custodial closets, work areas, and equipment in a clean and safe manner. Snow removal, as required. Report to the Facilities Main Office by job request anything that needs repairing or replacing. Perform additional duties, as assigned by administrative or supervising personnel. Order and re-stock supplies. Assist or relieve relief custodian, as assigned.

Vacuum, spot clean, shampoo, extract carpets throughout the assigned area, or as assigned by the supervisor. Move furniture, equipment, materials, and perform other general maintenance. Maintain Assigned custodial area. Remove trash and debris from building to dumpster. Clean entry way, partition glass, interior windows, blinds, light fixtures, and vents. Dust furniture, spot clean walls, ceilings, and doors/frames, as needed. Maintain Clean and Safe Work area. Report to the Facilities Main Office by:-10% J ob request anything that needs repairing or replacing. Perform additional duties, as assigned by administrative or supervising personnel. Snow removal as required.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
Previous custodial experience preferred
Working Hours and Days:
Monday-Friday 2:30-11:00 PM
