Warrensburg, MO We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Janitor to help keep our facility clean, safe, and running at its best! Position Summary The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment throughout the facility. This position performs routine cleaning and housekeeping duties in offices, restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces while ensuring supplies are stocked and cleanliness standards are consistently maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and organize janitorial cart with the necessary cleaning supplies and equipment before beginning daily tasks. Clean and sanitize all employee and visitor restrooms, including: Sinks, toilets, urinals, and fixtures-Stall doors, partitions, and handles-Mirrors and countertops-Floors (sweep and mop)-Trash removal-Restock soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and other restroom supplies. Clean and sanitize the employee breakroom by: Wiping countertops, tables, microwaves, coffee makers, sinks, vending machine doors, and kiosks Sweeping and mopping floors Emptying trash receptacles Restocking condiments and breakroom supplies Cleaning kitchen/breakroom equipment after use Clean and maintain the office breakroom, including countertops, sink, microwave, refrigerator handles, dispensers, and trash removal. Maintain the front lobby by cleaning entrance windows, dusting furniture and surfaces, vacuuming rugs, sweeping and mopping floors, and removing trash. Clean conference rooms and cubicle areas by wiping tables and other surfaces, cleaning windows, vacuuming carpeted areas, and maintaining a professional appearance. Clean offices as they become available by sanitizing door handles, cleaning windows, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming as needed, and collecting trash. Collect and dispose of trash throughout the facility, including offices, common areas, production support areas, and bathroom receptacles. Refill disposable cups at the ice machine and replenish other designated consumable supplies. Sanitize high-touch surfaces throughout the facility, including time clocks, locker handles, vending machines, and frequently used doors. Properly clean, organize, and store all janitorial equipment and supplies at the end of each shift. Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or supply shortages to the appropriate supervisor. Follow all company safety policies, housekeeping standards, and proper chemical handling procedures. Perform other housekeeping and facility support duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday. Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally. Safely operate standard janitorial equipment and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous custodial or janitorial experience required. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain cleanliness standards in a manufacturing environment. Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
