Janitorial Worker Job Description Join our team as a Janitorial Worker where you will play a vital role in maintaining and protecting the integrity of our facilities. Your efforts will ensure that both the internal and external appearance of our buildings reflect the high standards of our organization. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to cleanliness, as well as adherence to federal guidelines and company policies. Responsibilities Adhere to all safety and health policies, wearing personal protective equipment, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Determine cleaning priorities based on directions provided or through the Master Sanitation Schedule. Routinely clean designated areas such as restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, replenishing supplies as needed. Clean and sanitize sinks, countertops, tables, microwaves, and refrigerators in break areas. Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition. Ensure janitorial closets are organized and maintained in a safe and clean manner. Maintain floors and stairs by vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping. Empty and reline trash and recycling receptacles, sanitizing them when necessary. Operate floor sanitation devices such as floor scrubbers as required. Mix and store chemicals according to current procedures. Ensure grounds areas are clean and orderly. Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by management. Essential Skills Previous custodial and grounds experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Ability to work required shift hours (10pm-6:30am) with an alternating weekend overtime schedule. Capability to lift, carry, or move up to 60 lbs routinely. Comfortable with squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling while using tools and performing required tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience cleaning industrial plants is a plus. The position requires adherence to a dress code to ensure safety and compliance with sanitation standards. The hours are from 10pm to 6:30am, five days a week, with some weekends required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warrenton, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
