What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job DescriptionSupervise and assist custodians. Ensure the established standards of cleanliness are followed. Clean and maintain public areas; i.e. hallways, lobbies, stairways, locker rooms etc. Deliver and retrieve rollaway beds, irons, ironing boards, and other items to guest rooms.
