In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces regularly. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or repairing fixtures when necessary. Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques. Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial vacuums effectively. Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy objects. Customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
