Overview We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Crew Member to join our facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of commercial, residential, and industrial spaces. Your efforts will contribute to creating safe, hygienic, and welcoming environments for clients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness through efficient use of cleaning equipment and adherence to safety protocols. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across various facilities. Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and scrubbers to maintain floor care standards. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, following all chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct custodial duties such as restroom sanitation, window cleaning, and surface disinfecting to ensure hygiene compliance. Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs and residential painting when necessary. Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting and manual handling activities to prevent injuries. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of equipment and chemicals. Support facilities maintenance efforts by performing industrial cleaning and porter services as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the operation of cleaning equipment including floor buffers. Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning supplies. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely in accordance with safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude. Prior experience with facilities maintenance or residential painting is a plus. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
