Duties Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, corridors, treatment areas, restrooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents Handle laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and uniforms in accordance with healthcare standards Safely operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, vacuums, and steam cleaners to maintain high standards of sanitation and floor care Follow strict safety protocols related to chemical handling, manual handling, and heavy lifting to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces by disinfecting high-touch areas to support healthcare infection prevention and control efforts Properly store and dispose of chemical agents and waste materials following environmental services guidelines Document cleaning activities, safety checks, and maintenance reports accurately for accountability and quality assurance Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within healthcare facilities or hospitals is preferred Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to chemical handling, sanitation, and safe lifting practices Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention protocols and hospital housekeeping procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently during cleaning routines Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining sanitation standards throughout the facility Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues promptly Job is Monday- Wednesday from 6-9pm Join us in creating a safe, clean environment that supports healing and well-being!
