Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience is preferred, including skills in floor care, buffing, industrial cleaning, and residential painting. This role is essential in ensuring our spaces meet health and safety standards while providing a pleasant environment for staff and visitors alike. Duties Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across multiple areas Handle industrial cleaning tasks as needed to maintain large-scale facilities. Assist with custodial duties in both commercial and minor maintenance tasks. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, hallways, and common areas. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums safely and effectively. Restock supplies like paper towels, soap dispensers, and other consumables. Follow safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment during all cleaning activities. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Qualifications Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care and buffing. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and moving supplies or equipment. Good communication skills are beneficial for reporting issues or requesting supplies.
