Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Day Porter to join our team, working from 1pm to 5pm. This vital role ensures the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of our facility during afternoon hours. As a Day Porter, you will be the first line of support in maintaining a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and clients alike. Your proactive approach will help uphold our high standards of cleanliness and facility upkeep, creating a positive impression every day. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to keep common areas tidy and inviting Conduct detailed janitorial and custodial duties across various spaces including lobbies, restrooms, hallways, and offices Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care procedures to ensure a polished appearance Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed for facilities upkeep Support industrial cleaning projects when necessary to uphold safety and cleanliness standards Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are well-maintained and stocked for efficient operations Collaborate with facilities management to address any custodial or maintenance issues promptly Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a focus on commercial or industrial environments Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures and basic repair tasks Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and upkeep of all areas Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift Join us in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment!
