In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our building and surrounding areas. Porter Responsibilities Responsible for trash removal Monday through Friday, ensuring all designated areas remain clean and free of debris. Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all common areas, including amenities, hallways, stairwells, sidewalks, and other shared spaces. Perform daily sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and other sanitation procedures as needed throughout the property. Monitor and empty pet waste stations when full, ensuring stations and surrounding areas remain clean and sanitary. Ensure all building entrances and common areas are clear of clutter, including trash, packages, debris, and potential trip hazards. Conduct daily inspections of all common areas to identify cleanliness, safety, or maintenance concerns. Promptly report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or property concerns to the appropriate team member or manager. Ensure all common areas and amenities are properly stocked and maintained, including: Fitness center cleaning wipes and supplies Restroom paper products, soap, and other necessary supplies Other amenity and common-area supplies as needed Maintain a professional, clean, and welcoming appearance throughout the property and assist with additional cleaning or porter duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme weather when necessary. Ability to walk up to five flights of stairs and navigate rough or uneven terrain. Ability to climb ladders and work in tight or confined areas. Ability to bend, squat, sit, and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to twist and turn as needed and lift arms above the head. Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services, preferably within commercial or industrial environments. Knowledge of chemical-handling safety procedures and the proper use of cleaning agents. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with staff, residents, visitors, and clients. Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures, including basic repairs and general upkeep tasks. Must have a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
