Duties Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and sanitation tools. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination. Utilize custodial equipment effectively for tasks like buffing, floor care, and sanitation to ensure surfaces are spotless and well-maintained. Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning materials. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to maintain a hazard-free environment for yourself and others. Maintain supplies inventory and notify management when stock levels are low to ensure continuous cleanliness operations. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues promptly. Experience Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning techniques such as floor buffing, sanitation procedures, and the use of various cleaning equipment. Experience handling chemical agents safely and adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and manual handling practices. Customer service skills are a plus, especially when interacting with staff or visitors during cleaning routines. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning will be advantageous.
