What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Essential Duties:
Plan, layout, and perform all required operations to install, maintain and repair a wide variety of plant equipment and accessories Effectively troubleshoot using manuals, schematics, and diagrams to diagnose and eliminate problems as they arise Safely install, maintain, and upgrade 3-phase motor control systems, and AC/DC circuits, possess an understanding of basic relay logic Understand fluid power systems; troubleshoot, install, and repair power units, valve operation, cylinders, motors, pumps Perform basic fabrication by cutting and welding operations Perform preventative maintenance on equipment using standard practices and procedures Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition Follow all company and equipment safety guidelines and ethics rules Maintain lift truck operator's license, main lift, and other material handling equipment
NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS
Perform other duties as required or directed.
REQUIREMENTS
General high school diploma or GED. At least two (2) years of trade school or equivalent experience in industrial mechanical or electrical is required Mechanical aptitude in complex mechanical assemblies including precision measurements Able to read and interpret blueprints Knowledge of conventional welding and industrial equipment operations Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities Analytical and detail-oriented mindset Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Basic computer skills to maintain records, work history, and inventory of parts Ability to utilize meters, gauges, or other types of test equipment to facilitate quality and timely repairs We thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high.
