Job Overview Are you looking for Full-Time / Part-Time employment? Join our dedicated team as an Environmental Services Technician and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within healthcare, hospital setting. Your energetic approach will ensure that all areas are sanitized, disinfected, and well-maintained to meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to infection prevention, uphold sanitation protocols, and support the overall well-being of staff, patients, and visitors through diligent environmental care. Your proactive efforts will help create a welcoming and safe space for everyone. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment Handle chemical agents safely by following OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and proper handling procedures Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces Execute sanitation protocols in accordance with healthcare infection prevention and control standards to reduce the risk of cross-contamination Utilize manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large cleaning equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices Maintain cleanliness of all designated areas through janitorial tasks like waste disposal, restocking supplies, and surface cleaning Document completed tasks accurately in logs or reports and communicate any maintenance or safety concerns promptly Qualifications Prior experience in environmental services, custodial work, or commercial cleaning is highly preferred Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to chemical handling, safety procedures, and infection control practices Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently using proper manual handling techniques Familiarity with hospital or healthcare environment standards for sanitation and infection prevention is a plus Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures High School Diploma or GED Join us in making a difference by ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone. Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
