A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Ashe County Public Schools is currently seeking to hire an individual to work as a custodian at Ashe County Middle School. This posting is for a full-time, 12-month position. The position is available starting immediately and comes with health insurance, retirement, and other miscellaneous benefits!
Qualifications:
Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent Experience in custodial and routine maintenance work is preferred Will work 40 hours per week Work will include a variety of manual activities, cleaning and maintaining buildings, and securing buildings, etc. Preference for applicants willing to get a bus license.
