Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Worker to join our healthcare facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across various healthcare settings. Your efforts will directly contribute to infection prevention, patient safety, and overall facility hygiene. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols, possess excellent attention to detail, and have experience in healthcare or commercial cleaning environments. Duties Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, operating rooms, corridors, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Handle laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and uniforms in accordance with infection control standards. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and steam cleaners safely and effectively to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Manage chemical agents responsibly by understanding proper handling, storage, and disposal procedures in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations. Execute manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Support infection prevention efforts by following strict sanitation protocols aligned with healthcare standards. Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with healthcare staff to address specific sanitation needs while providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors. Follow all safety protocols diligently to minimize hazards and ensure a safe working environment for all staff members. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare facilities or hospitals is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to chemical handling and workplace safety. Experience with healthcare infection prevention and control practices is preferred. Proven ability to operate cleaning machinery safely within a commercial or healthcare setting. Familiarity with hospital or healthcare environment cleaning procedures including floor care and sanitation techniques. Strong physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing. Previous experience in environmental services or custodial roles emphasizing safety protocol adherence and quality standards. TJB01
