Overview Join the Down South Funflatables team as a part-time Inflatable Cleaning Crew Member! We are looking for dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals to help keep our commercial inflatables clean, sanitized, dry, and ready for our customers. This is a hands-on, physical position that involves working outdoors and cleaning bounce houses, water slides, obstacle courses, combos, and other rental equipment. You should be comfortable getting wet and dirty, working in outdoor conditions, and using commercial cleaning products and equipment. Starting pay is $14+/hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and sanitize commercial bounce houses, water slides, obstacle courses, inflatable combos, and other rental equipment Remove dirt, mud, grass, leaves, standing water, stains, and other debris from inflatables Sweep, vacuum, scrub, wipe, rinse, and blow out inflatable surfaces as needed Clean pools, slides, climbing areas, entrances, and other high-use areas thoroughly Safely operate power/pressure washers and other cleaning equipment when appropriate Safely use approved commercial cleaning products, including Zep products, disinfectants, stain removers, rust-removal products, and other cleaning chemicals Follow all product labels, safety instructions, required PPE, and company procedures when using cleaning chemicals Never mix cleaning chemicals unless specifically permitted by the product manufacturer and company procedures Help ensure wet inflatables are thoroughly dried before being rolled and stored Inspect inflatables while cleaning and immediately report tears, damage, mold/mildew, excessive wear, stains, or other concerns Assist with folding and rolling inflatables after cleaning Keep cleaning supplies, equipment, and the work area clean and organized Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when products or supplies are running low Help prepare clean inflatables and equipment for upcoming rentals Follow company cleaning, equipment-care, and safety procedures at all times Qualifications Dependable, punctual, and able to consistently report for accepted shifts Strong attention to detail and willingness to thoroughly clean equipment rather than rush through the job Comfortable working outdoors in heat, humidity, and changing weather conditions Comfortable getting wet, dirty, and muddy while cleaning rental equipment Comfortable using commercial disinfectants and cleaning chemicals Comfortable working with products such as Zep cleaners, rust removers, stain removers, and disinfectants according to product instructions Comfortable operating a power/pressure washer and other cleaning equipment after instruction Able to safely use gloves, eye protection, and other required personal protective equipment (PPE) Able to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, scrub, push, and pull throughout a shift Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to approximately 50 lbs independently Able to assist team members with folding, rolling, and moving heavier commercial inflatables Able to follow instructions and company safety procedures Able to work independently once trained and also work effectively as part of a team Good communication skills Reliable transportation to the designated work location Previous experience with commercial cleaning, pressure washing, detailing, event rentals, landscaping, warehouse work, or similar hands-on work is preferred but not required Background Screening Down South Funflatables regularly provides services for children's birthday parties, schools, family events, HOA/community events, and other events where children and families may be present. Employment is contingent upon completion of the company's applicable pre-employment background-screening process. Schedule & Reliability This is a part-time/seasonal position, and hours may vary depending on rental volume, weather, cleaning needs, and business needs. Reliability is extremely important. Our workload and staffing are planned around team members who have committed to work. Employees are expected to arrive on time for accepted shifts and communicate promptly if an emergency affects their ability to report as scheduled. Compensation Starting at $14+/hour, depending on experience. Higher starting pay may be considered for applicants with relevant professional cleaning, pressure-washing, detailing, equipment-maintenance, or event-rental experience.
