Custodian

Custodian (Full-Time) Ansley Public Schools is looking for a motivated, reliable, and hardworking Full-Time Custodian to help us prepare our buildings for the upcoming school year, and keep them in shape all year long. Our custodial team is essential to keeping our buildings safe, clean, and ready for every student who walks through our doors. What You'll Do Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, gyms, and common areas throughout the building Strip, wax, and refinish floors and complete other deep-cleaning tasks not possible during the school year Assist with summer maintenance projects, furniture moving, and classroom resets Inspect and report facility issues such as lighting, plumbing, or safety concerns to administration Maintain cleanliness and organization of custodial supply areas and storage rooms Follow proper procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals safely Work collaboratively with the maintenance team and building administration to meet project timelines Help ensure our buildings are fully prepared and welcoming before students return in the fall What We're Looking For A strong work ethic and ability to stay on task with minimal supervision Reliability — we count on our team to show up and get the job done Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Experience in custodial, janitorial, or general maintenance work is preferred but we are willing to train the right person Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and power washers is a plus Must be able to pass a background check
