A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Join the Facilities Management team as a Lead Custodian where you can be a part of a great crew. Work at a stable company where you will find supportive co-workers and managers. The Lead Custodian will lead a crew of 5 to 15 team members in the day-to-day cleaning and custodial care of one or two buildings per the direction of the building Supervisor. Inspects work areas daily. Uses proper and established methods and materials in cleaning and otherwise caring for building areas. Provides training and mentoring per the direction of the Supervisor. Follows a well-established routine. This position will give feed back to the Supervisor during the performance review period but will not engage in discussions. This is a full-time, benefit eligible, job working day hours (6:00 am to 2:30 pm). Monday - Friday is the primary shift. Weekends and overtime may be required as is needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
