Conduct floor care routines including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance. Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, trash receptacles, and cleaning supplies while following safe lifting practices. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and sanitation products to ensure availability at all times. Perform light maintenance tasks like residential painting touch-ups or minor repairs to keep facilities in excellent condition. Follow all safety protocols during cleaning operations and report any hazards or maintenance needs promptly to ensure a secure environment. Skills Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work within educational or commercial settings. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and industrial cleaning equipment including floor buffers and scrubbers. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices such as basic repairs or painting is a plus.
