A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
The Library is seeking a candidate to work under the direction of the Administrative Coordinator to perform a variety of custodial tasks in support of library programs and services, in particular set up and breakdown of program rooms. Candidate will also supplement contracted cleaning staff in maintaining restrooms in a clean and sanitary condition; vacuuming, dusting and cleaning staff offices and program rooms; cleaning interior glass; perform minor building and furniture repairs as needed. This position is 15 hours per week and the schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30am -11:30am.
