What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

- Burlington County Shelter Keep the shelter clean.
What You'll Do:
Maintain daily cleanliness and sanitation of the building interior and ensure exterior areas remain presentable Empty trash cans daily and ensure trash is properly discarded so the dumpster area stays sanitary and orderly Sanitize trash cans and change liners weekly (or as needed) Clean, deodorize, and sanitize bathrooms; ensure bathrooms are appropriately stocked daily Sweep, mop, dust mop floors, and vacuum daily; strip/buff/finish floors as needed; shampoo rugs as needed Clean windows and doors as needed Report maintenance issues and supply needs to the appropriate supervisor Keep walkways clear of snow and debris; keep stairs and doorways free of obstructions Attend required staff meetings, training sessions, and supervisory conferences Maintain confidentiality and follow administrative policies and procedures Complete other duties as assignedWhat You Need:
High school diploma/equivalent or GED Minimum 2 years of janitorial/housekeeping experience Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to handle Protected Health Information and comply with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules Bilingual abilities are a plusWhy This Role Matters:
