A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of our facilities, creating a welcoming environment for staff and clients alike. Your proactive approach and dedication will help uphold our high standards of cleanliness and operational excellence. Availability Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (we are flexible) The pay rate for both sites is $16.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies Conduct janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces Maintain floor care through buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to ensure surfaces are pristine Assist with industrial cleaning projects and residential painting as needed to support facility upkeep Conduct routine facilities maintenance checks to identify repairs or safety hazards Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Support general porter duties including moving supplies or furniture as required Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, waxing, and stripping floors Familiarity with commercial cleaning standards and industrial cleaning processes Ability to perform residential painting tasks when necessary for facility improvements Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely and effectively Good physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts Join us in creating clean, safe environments where everyone can thrive!
