Fort Lee Public Schools Job Summary:

Fort Lee Public Schools is seeking a dedicated School Custodian.

Job Goal:

The School Custodian shall provide a safe, clean, and comfortable school environment.

Qualifications:

Minimum High School Diploma or GED Vaild NJ Driver's License Knowledge of methods, procedures, materials, and equipment necessary for work involved in building maintenance Five years of related experience Valid New Jersey Black Seal License for boiler operation or willingness to obtain one Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively Certification of good health signed by a licensed physician Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to understand and follow safety procedures Ability to use technology for work order maintenance systems Willingness to attend professional development Ability to work independently and in a team environment Knowledge of plant operation and maintenance, cleaning methods and procedures, heating and ventilation, proper handling of hazardous materials Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Working Conditions:

Full time, 12 month position, benefits Salary range: Based on FLEA salary guide which ranges between $46,500 and $72,772, commensurate with experience.
