A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

PM CUSTODIAL SUPERVISOR

REPORTS TO
Facilities Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
At least five years successful experience in the custodial and/or maintenance field including some supervisory experience. Specific knowledge of housekeeping and custodial equipment, materials and methods. Able and willing to respond to emergency and alarm calls after normal working hours. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable within state law. Possess Black Seal License for the boilers.
JOB GOAL
To supervise, support and evaluate (as necessary) second (2 nd ) shift custodial staff in the maintenance of all district facilities in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness and safety.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, personnel, visitors and all members of the general public. Assist the Facilities Supervisor with the coordination and supervising custodial functions such as; planning, scheduling, coordinating activities, training, evaluations, equipment, with the custodial staff to ensure a clean and safe environment. Assists with facilitating meetings with custodial staff when deemed necessary for purposes of training. Inspects building custodial operations, and confers Facilities Supervisor and with principals regarding custodial work. Maintains a record of all custodial personnel. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Provides support (as needed) to other employees and oversees work activities for the purpose of ensuring that custodial assignments are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner. Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
COMPENSATION
$25.00 per hour
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
: Effective October 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027
