Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, proactive Maintenance Technician & Custodian to oversee two commercial buildings in Little Falls, NJ. The ideal candidate possesses broad knowledge and hands-on experience in all aspects of building maintenance, troubleshooting, and custodial care. In this role, you will perform routine facility upkeep, execute minor repairs, and respond promptly to emergency service calls. Working closely with ownership and coworkers, you will resolve operational issues to maintain a safe, clean, and highly efficient environment.

Little Falls, NJ Position Type:
Full-time, Salaried Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Requires flexibility for early morning or late evening shifts during winter snow removal)

Key Responsibilities:
Custodial & Sanitation:
Perform comprehensive cleaning, trash removal, and deep disinfection of restrooms and a childcare center.
Minor Repairs:
Troubleshoot and fix basic plumbing, electrical, and structural fixture issues; replace light bulbs and accessories.
Grounds & Seasonal Care:
Handle winter snow removal (flexible hours required) and basic landscaping, including mowing, weeding, and planting.
Event & Facility Setup:
Coordinate resources for the setup and teardown of equipment and cabinet displays for events.
Inventory & Tools:
Maintain supply inventory, submit order requests, and safely operate power equipment, pressure washers, and hand tools.
Preventative Maintenance:
Execute regular preventative care and respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
Fixture Upkeep:
Install, maintain, and repair various fixtures in restrooms, offices, and classrooms.
Requirements:
Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Technical Skills:
Proven experience in basic plumbing, simple electrical work, carpentry, drywall patching, tiling, and general commercial property repairs.
Physical Demands:
Ability to routinely lift, push, pull, and move heavy items as necessary to perform job duties.
Pay:
$19.00 per hour
