A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled candidate to perform a range of custodial and light maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skill set including light maintenance and painting.
Key Responsibilities General Custodial Duties:
Clean common areas, mop floors, wash windows, and maintain public spaces to a high standard of cleanliness.
General Maintenance:
Perform indoor and outdoor painting, including touch-ups and full projects. Opportunity to advance in maintenance department.
Repairs & Replacements:
Change light bulbs, HVAC filters, and batteries to keep systems running smoothly.
Team Collaboration:
Communicate your availability and job completion status clearly and promptly to the supervisor or administrative team. Qualifications Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Comfortable working on ladders and handling physical tasks. Basic math skills and the ability to understand written material and numbers. Ability to communicate courteously with residents, visitors, and coworkers. Previous experience in general maintenance or a related field preferred, but not required.
