A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Custodian / Cafeteria Support Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Our K-8 Catholic school is looking for a reliable and hardworking Custodian / Cafeteria Support team member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and common areas. Support cafeteria operations by cleaning tables, sanitizing surfaces, and assisting with daily lunch cleanup. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors using custodial equipment. Remove trash and recycling. Monitor and restock cleaning supplies. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a positive, professional school environment.
Qualifications:
Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently. Ability to lift and move cleaning equipment and supplies. Custodial, janitorial, or cafeteria experience is a plus, but not required. Must successfully complete a New Jersey Department of Education fingerprinting and background check before employment.
