In Person Job Description New Hope Village is seeking a dependable, hardworking Porter/Cleaner with previous cleaning experience to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our residential community. This position offers an opportunity for career advancement. Candidates interested in becoming Maintenance Technicians will receive hands-on training to develop their maintenance and repair skills. Key Responsibilities Clean and maintain hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, offices and common areas. Sweep parking lots, sidewalks and dumpster areas. Collect trash and debris throughout the property. Clean and prepare vacant apartments for new residents. Maintain clean and organized maintenance and storage areas. Report property damage, maintenance concerns and safety hazards. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with basic repairs and preventive maintenance as training progresses. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous professional cleaning or janitorial experience required. Residential or commercial cleaning experience preferred. Reliable, punctual and detail-oriented. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn property maintenance and develop technical skills. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing and walking for extended periods. Employment and Advancement This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent position. Permanent employment will be considered following successful completion of the probationary period, based on job performance, attendance and reliability. Qualified employees will have the opportunity to receive hands-on training and advance into a Maintenance Technician position based on demonstrated skills, performance and available opportunities. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable background and drug screenings in accordance with applicable law.
