A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
The Maintenance Custodian is responsible for performing custodial duties and overall building and ground maintenance, including repair functions for the properties located at 98, 100 and 110 First Street. Cleans, sweeps, mops and scrubs floors by hand or machine Cleans office carpets, furniture and upholstery Washes windows, screens, doors, desks and walls on in the interior and exterior of PRAHD's facilities on both interior and exterior Orders and stocks needed materials and supplies Coordinates with vendors and service contractors to schedule maintenance and obtain supplies Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and water fountains Locks and unlocks doors and moves equipment and furniture as needed Provides maintenance and minor repairs to plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems as well as performs minor routine carpentry work Performs some repairs and maintenance of buildings, by patching walls/doors, painting walls/trim, replacing fixtures or damaged ceilings and floors tiles Assists in the installation and removal of decorations for agency related events and sets up and takes down tables and chairs for agency events, classes or programs Maintains the outside grounds by cleaning the property and making sure the outside is free of debris.
