The Opportunity The Sanitation Associate Level 1 is responsible for performing basic cleaning and sanitation tasks in a food manufacturing environment to ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This role supports the facility's food safety and quality programs by maintaining a clean and sanitary production environment. What You'll Do Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment, utensils, and facility areas. Disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning under supervision. Clean floors, drains, walls, and other designated areas. Follow established Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs). Properly handle and use cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Complete required sanitation documentation accurately and timely. Identify and report maintenance or food safety concerns to supervisor. Safely operate basic sanitation tools and equipment (hoses, foamers, brushes, squeegees). Dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures. Support pre-operational inspections as directed. Perform other assigned duties. Comply with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, SQF, and company policies. Follow all workplace safety rules including Lockout/Tagout awareness (as applicable). What You'll Need High school diploma or GED preferred. Basic literacy skills required (ability to read instructions and complete forms). Sanitation experience preferred but not required.
