Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, carpets, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and techniques. Handle chemical agents safely and correctly, following all safety protocols for cleaning solutions and disinfectants. Conduct floor care procedures such as buffing, waxing, stripping, and polishing to ensure surfaces are maintained at a high standard. Use manual handling techniques to lift, move, and position cleaning equipment or supplies safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness by dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal across all assigned zones. Operate specialized equipment for carpet cleaning and floor buffing to restore surfaces' appearance and longevity. Follow established janitorial and custodial procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while delivering top-quality service. Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or environmental services environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of proper manual handling techniques is advantageous. Experience with floor care processes such as waxing, buffing, stripping, or carpet cleaning is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for moving equipment or supplies safely. Demonstrated reliability in maintaining cleanliness standards consistently in fast-paced settings.
