Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Custodian to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant environment across all areas of our facility, including cultivation, processing, packaging, and retail spaces. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency by upholding high standards of hygiene, organization, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitation of all facility areas, including cultivation rooms, processing zones, retail spaces, restrooms, hallways, and common areas, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. Properly handle, dispose of, and document waste, including hazardous materials, in accordance with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; proactively request replenishments to ensure continuous operational efficiency. Operate and maintain cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums safely and according to established procedures. Clean and maintain various surfaces—including floors, windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and fixtures—using appropriate cleaning agents and tools to ensure clarity and presentation. Replenish consumables such as paper products and sanitary supplies to ensure availability and cleanliness. Empty trash receptacles regularly, disposing of waste properly, and documenting disposal procedures as required. Assist with deep cleaning projects, scheduled maintenance, and special cleaning initiatives as directed by management. Monitor, identify, and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or regulatory concerns promptly to ensure a safe, compliant environment. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safe handling of chemicals, and compliance with OSHA and EPA guidelines. Support compliance with all applicable local and state regulations related to cleanliness, safety, and security within the cannabis industry. Collaborate effectively with team members to promote a clean, organized, and compliant work environment. Follow established housekeeping schedules and checklists to maintain consistent cleanliness standards across all areas. Support additional cleaning and maintenance duties as needed, adapting to operational priorities and customer requirements.

Secondary Responsibilities:

: This role assists in preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and general facility support.

Minor Repairs:

Fix leaky faucets, unclog sinks and toilets, and adjust loose door hinges or fixtures.

Lighting & Electrical:

Replace burned-out light bulbs and switch plates.

Surface Touch-Ups:

Hang whiteboards, pictures, or shelving, and perform basic patching and interior/exterior painting.

Grounds & Outdoor Care:

Sweep entryways, clear walkways, and remove seasonal debris (such as leaves or snow). Other maintenance duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning preferred. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.

Skills:

Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools; ability to perform minor plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical fixes. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Reliable, punctual, with a strong work ethic. Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a comprehensive background check compliant with New Mexico cannabis regulations. Experience in a regulated industry, such as cannabis, healthcare, or food service, is a plus but not required. Education and/or

Work Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one (1) year of janitorial or custodial experience preferred. Experience in regulated or industrial environments is advantageous. Must maintain eligibility to work within the New Mexico cannabis industry.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to generally stand, bend, walk, stoop, and kneel for prolonged periods, and sit occasionally. Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly. Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment. Must be able to workdays, nights, holidays and weekends.

Work Environment:

The role involves exposure to cleaning chemicals and working in various areas of the facility, including cultivation and processing zones. Adherence to strict safety and security protocols is essential.

Shift:

8-hour shift with 1-hour lunch) Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00 PM Holidays Open 365 days a year
