Monday through Friday 6am - 2pm Job Overview We are looking for a reliable and proactive Janitor in a temporary position to keep our facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining a tidy environment and enjoys working in a dynamic setting. As a janitor, you will be an essential part of our team, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and hygienic for staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities Perform cleaning duties across various areas, including floors, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and other floor care techniques to ensure safety and appearance. Handle custodial tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting surfaces regularly. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or hazards that need attention. Use commercial cleaning equipment effectively to ensure thorough sanitation of all designated areas. Assist with industrial cleaning projects when needed, including specialized cleaning tasks. Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment. Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key! Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and general commercial cleaning practices. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on maintaining high cleanliness standards. Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift materials when necessary. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of facilities maintenance or porter experience is a plus.
