Responsibilities Perform cleaning duties across various areas, including floors, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and other floor care techniques to ensure safety and appearance. Handle custodial tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting surfaces regularly. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or hazards that need attention. Use commercial cleaning equipment effectively to ensure thorough sanitation of all designated areas. Assist with industrial cleaning projects when needed, including specialized cleaning tasks. Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment. Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key! Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and general commercial cleaning practices. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on maintaining high cleanliness standards. Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift materials when necessary. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of facilities maintenance or porter experience is a plus.
