What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Anticipated Work Location/Hours:

Veronica Connor Middle School Student Attendance Days - 7:00 am to 8:00 am

Salary:

$21.40/hr per

SRP Contract Duties:

Monitor student behavior and ensure orderly conduct during breakfast to promote a safe and welcoming environment for all students. Address and redirect inappropriate behavior in a calm and respectful manner. Assist students as needed (e.g., finding seating, locating utensils). Ensure cleanliness of the cafeteria space Maintain clear and consistent communication with building administrators and food service staff. Supervise entrances/exits to ensure students remain in designated areas until the bell. Report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate staff member immediately.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma Ability to maintain composure in a busy environment Commitment to reliability and punctuality.

Qualifications Desired:

Prior experience working with adolescents. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
