A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Maintenance Manager Basic Function or Position Summary:
Performs cleaning and janitorial work Pay rate is $16.32 per hour
Requirements Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties:
Maintains floor coverings such as mopping, sweeping, carpet cleaning, etc. Dusts furniture and equipment Take out trash. Washes windows, door panels, and sills. Cleans bathrooms, offices, and common areas and notifies Maintenance Manager of supply needs. Performs pick-up and deliveries as required by Maintenance Manager Performs ground maintenance tasks as assigned. Performs general grounds keeping and landscaping. Has some basic ability to trouble shoot while on the jobsite and notifies Maintenance Manager of worksite maintenance needs. Promotes agency mission. Maintains confidentiality and complies with the code of ethics. Maintains consistent professional customer service. Job performance incorporates integrated service delivery model while promoting self-sufficiency. Other duties as designated by supervisor.

N/A Organizational Responsibilities:
Cleanliness of COI facilities. Adheres to all policies and procedures. Gathers appropriate documentation and tracks outcomes. Participates in organizational committee structures as appropriate. Participates in organizational and divisional management systems.
Knowledge, Skills Required:
High School Diploma or GED required. Basic cleaning skills and knowledge required.
Physical:
Ability to lift up to and including 25-50 pounds of physical effort.
Special Requirements:
Must be able to provide consistent even tempered customer service at all times. Valid Driver's license Reliable transportation Ability to travel throughout the county. Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required. Works compassionately with a diverse population.
