Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, equipment, and dining areas using appropriate sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Handle waste disposal and manage recycling processes efficiently to maintain a clean environment. Assist with bussing tables and clearing debris to support smooth restaurant operations. Operate cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, floor scrubbers, and other tools safely and effectively. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or waste bins while adhering to health and safety protocols. Follow strict food safety management procedures during cleaning routines to prevent cross-contamination. Ensure all sanitation practices align with restaurant health codes and kitchen health and safety standards. Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued. Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety sanitizing procedures is advantageous. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or cleaning machinery is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision. Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform cleaning duties for extended periods.
