Job Description

Full-Time Custodian Johnsburg Central School District is seeking qualified candidates for an immediate full-time Custodian position. This is a 12-month position with a regular work schedule of 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The starting salary is $17.85 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package is available.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop, wax, and clean floors and stairs Replace consumable supplies (e.g., toilet paper, paper towels) Respond to unexpected emergencies (e.g., spills, students getting sick) Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment Wash windows, walls, sinks, etc. Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash Clear snow/ice from walkways; mow lawns, rake leaves, trim shrubs, playground upkeep, Assist with heating system operations Deliver packages and messages Set up rooms (tables, chairs, etc.) for events or school use Perform repairs and replacements (e.g., replace light bulbs, repair window shades and window ballast, painting, plumbing(replace plumbing fixtures like toilets and water fountains) This position is governed by Civil Service regulations.
