In person About the Position ACTS Cleaning Services, LLC is hiring a dependable, hardworking Night Custodian for a temporary, full-time assignment at Wildwood Programs School in Schenectady, NY . We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and availability for the entire evening shift are essential. Candidates with reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities Floor care:

Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout assigned areas.

Restroom cleaning:

Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, fixtures, mirrors, partitions, and high-touch surfaces. Replenish restroom supplies as needed.

Trash and recycling:

Empty waste and recycling containers, replace liners, and take collected materials to designated disposal areas.

General cleaning:

Dust accessible blinds, vents, ledges, and baseboards; clean drinking fountains and accessible interior glass; and spot-clean doors, frames, and other washable surfaces.

Building support and security:

Assist with moving and setting up tables and chairs as needed. Follow building closing, key-control, alarm, and security procedures.

Safety and communication:

Use cleaning products and equipment according to instructions. Promptly report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, supply shortages, and damaged equipment to the appropriate supervisor. Qualifications Dependable attendance and ability to work Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM-12:00 AM . Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Professional conduct, attention to detail, and clear communication. Ability to perform routine physical cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, and using cleaning equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation. Willingness to follow all ACTS Cleaning Services and Wildwood site policies and procedures. Reliable transportation strongly preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to drive preferred.
