What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Perform thorough cleaning and debris removal in hoarding situations Execute move-out cleans, including detailed surface cleaning and trash disposal Assist with junk removal, safely lifting and hauling items Operate hand tools and access difficult areas to complete cleaning tasks Follow safety procedures, including PPE use where required Provide professional, respectful service during sensitive cleanup situations Requirements Valid Social Security Number or Tax ID Number (this is on-the-books, W-2/1099 work) Reliable transportation Prior cleaning or labor experience preferred but not required — training provided Ability to lift and carry heavy items Strong work ethic and reliability
