Meat Porter (Full Time, Mid & Closing shifts)

For the Meat Porter, this means supporting the butchers and meat cutters by maintaining a clean and organized department, preparing workstations and tools, ensuring all equipment and surfaces meet Adams safety and sanitation standards.

Your Day-to-Day Ensure that customers receive the best customer service by providing friendly, polite, and knowledgeable service; greet customers personally and thank them appreciatively for shopping at Adams.

Clean and sanitize meat cutting tools, surfaces, equipment, and machinery (including grinders, saws, slicers, and trays) throughout the day and at shift close.

Prepare and stock cutting stations with required materials, tools, and supplies before the start of operations.

Maintain clean floors by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting drains as needed.

Dispose of waste properly and ensure trash and rendering containers are emptied and sanitized regularly.

Monitor and report any safety or maintenance issues with equipment or infrastructure to the Meat Manager promptly.

Assist with basic packaging, labeling, and restocking tasks when needed. Keep walk-in coolers, freezers, and prep areas neat and organized at all times.

Follow all food safety, OSHA, and store sanitation procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including skill sets, experience, training, certifications and other business needs.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $16.75 - $21.78 At Adams, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.
