Job Description

Job Overview The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable building, both inside and outside. They are responsible for cleaning and disinfecting high traffic areas, emptying trash, making minor repairs as needed, and tending to the grounds of the establishment. The Maintenance Worker will also tend to the grass or plants outside the building, sanitize restrooms, and keep entrances clear. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and dusting to maintain cleanliness and safety. Maintain custodial supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition. Assist with residential painting projects as needed to enhance facility aesthetics. Serve as a porter by managing waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness in common areas. Carry out facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management. Grass cutting and trimming once weekly, or as needed Experience Basic understanding of custodial tasks and responsibilities. Familiarity with the safe operation and use of cleaning products and equipment. Experience in facilities maintenance or minor repair work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Basic understanding of plumbing, carpentry, and lawn maintenance.
