Lead Cleaning Technician Job Type Part-time / Full-time 2nd Shift / Evening Shift - Between the hours of 4pm-1am Must be available at least one weekend day Comfortable driving throughout WNY area Lead Cleaning Technician Overview At Clean MD Commercial Cleaning Inc, we pride ourselves on having great people - and that starts by creating a great place to work. We are currently hiring a full time Lead Commercial Cleaning Technician to work independently and with a team for locations across WNY. Commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is required, and supervisory experience is a plus. We encourage you to apply if you have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a strong work ethic. Lead Janitorial Technicians work closely with district managers and field technicians to maintain high standards of cleanliness. This role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining a variety of commercial environments, including factories, offices, schools, veterinary clinics, and medical facilities. Key responsibilities include maintaining clean and orderly conditions throughout each facility, restocking supplies, training and supporting janitorial staff, performing quality assurance checks, and completing general cleaning tasks such as floor care, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, and waste removal. Employees in this position must demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to delivering consistent and reliable service. Clean each facility according to the cleaning schedule including but not limited to: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Dusting and disinfecting surfaces. Emptying garbage and recyclables. Cleaning sinks, microwaves, windows, and toilets. Servicing areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and offices. Restocking supplies and equipment as needed. Obtain, maintain, and properly use account keys, materials, and equipment. Motivate, develop, and direct people as they work. Train, cover, and support employees. Utilize technology to communicate, complete, and track work assignments. Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures. Effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction. Represent Clean MD positively and professionally in all internal and external interactions. Perform other cleaning duties as assigned. Lead Cleaning Technician Qualifications Valid driver's license Reliable means of transportation Smartphone capable of downloading and using apps Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds Ability to stand and move for the duration of the shift Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding company and client information Willingness to learn 1-3 years of janitorial or cleaning experience
Preferred:
supervisory experience in a janitorial or cleaning role
