Job Description
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and trash removal across all designated areas. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care procedures to ensure a pristine appearance. Conduct industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas using appropriate commercial cleaning equipment. Assist with facilities maintenance duties including minor repairs and reporting larger issues to maintenance teams. Support janitorial operations by stocking supplies, replenishing restroom essentials, and ensuring cleaning tools are properly stored. Participate in residential painting projects or touch-ups as needed to maintain facility aesthetics. Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to ensure a secure environment for everyone. During school year - set-up prepared food and assist with lunches to preschool students. Summer - mowing and weeding; Winter - snow removal. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with an understanding of commercial and industrial cleaning standards. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs and preventative upkeep. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards. Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving supplies throughout shifts. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues promptly.
